I cook for my girls. I buy 4 large heads fresh broccoli, (with short stems) I use 1/2 large bag of baby carrots, 6 apples (cored but leave skin on) and 8 to 10 cloves of garlic. I coarse grind them in the food processer. While doing this I put in boiling water, 1 cup of rice, 1/2 cup split peas and 1/2 cup of lentils. I cook them till crisp-tender. Put in colander and rinse with cold water. Then in a large skillet, cook 3 pounds of lean ground beef to pea size peices. Mix everything together and put in quart size zip-loc bags and freeze. With a little of this mixture for breakfast they get 1/4 boiled egg, tiny bit of mild cheddar or a tsp. of cottage cheese and yogurt. For lunch they will get either a peanutbutter ball or cookie that I make them. For dinner I don't put anything else in with the mixture.
