Normally they express the anal gland when they poo. If the anal gland becomes clogged with poo particles, they will drag their bottoms along, to help drain it and also because their bottoms itch. If you see him dragging his bottom, then turn around and smell where he was dragging, then it is probably the anal gland. You might try giving your baby some pumpkin. Not the pie filling kind, but just regular canned or fresh pumpkin. Just a tablespoon or so. It will act like a stool softener and help him poo better. When you have him groomed, one of the things the groomer does is empty the anal glands if needed. If he seems to drag more than necessary, then you may want to have him checked for internal parasites. Hope he soon has a very Happy Poo Party.
