I do this with Chewie but he is so smart he has learned that if he wants a treat to just go get into trouble somewhere and snatch something. He will even sit and watch to make sure I see what he has, then he heads straight for the kitchen to "trade"! I tried once to not give him the treat and we ran around the table for what seemed like an etenity, so I figured the trade is a better thing! But does your dog do it deliberatly?
