Yes, it is stressful being a new furbaby mommy!! I still am pretty over-protective of Cooper and Carley and I've had Cooper a year and he is 10 lbs I have a really high bed too, but I have never had a problem with them trying to jump off. Cooper slept with me from day one, and he was a 2 pounder then. He would always just snuggle up to me and then I would feel him walking around and would take him out to potty. He thought he was big too and he didn't try to jump, though. You should do what you feel comfortable doing though.
Cooper and Carley can still be picky about eating too, and I do the same thing, hand feed them and then your right..it's like priming a pump and then they eat!!
Thanks for the compliments on the blog. Cooper, Carley and I enjoy doing it. And you are soooo right, love that generator. We just got 8 inches more of snow the other day, but thank goodness the power is still on!
I look forward to seeing some more pics of you baby, we all love pics here at YT
