well i wouldn't be surprised is this gives your new pup the idea that he can go on the carpet... but it is so hard to say.. i guess if you want to be sure sure... get a steam carpet cleaner (you can usually rent them ... i think some grocery stores carry them and you can rent them for a day) and do your carpets.. might be worth the money to save you from making potty training even harder than we all know it is
