I think you should try drying it out too first, I've washed a couple of phones myself and they have worked again later

I just went through this same problem with my son, he dropped his phone (didn't know it) and then ran over it , so I wanted to buy him a Razr, cause I have one and he liked it. I went on Craigs list and ebay. The least expensive one I found was 120.00, which is better than new from my phone company. I told him if he destroyed this one, he was on his own...of course he's 21 not 12! Good luck!
