It could just be that he has developed an aversion to the slipper floor - my Oscar has gone through phases of this, and definitely prefers carpet over wood or tile. He'll 'spin his wheels' too if he thinks it will get him off the slippy floor faster, which it never does!
He probably does need the pads of his feet trimmed up a little bit so he can get a little more traction. Also, after a month, I'm guessing his nails are definitely due for a trim. If you can hear them clicking on the floor, then they are in need of a trim (as told to me by my vet). I cut Oscar and Ruthie's nails every other week - for two reasons 1. to get Oscar used to the nail trimming (he was deathly afriad, but has gotten quite good), and 2. because I'm a big scardy cat and only cut off about 1/8" for fear of hurting his little footies (and then Oscar never letting me near him with nail clippers again!).
So trim up those nails and pads! |
