Hello, I'm new here! I joined because I have a question for all you Yorkie lovers! I have two Yorkshire Terriers. Emery just turned two years old, and Alexx is going on one. I love my doggies so much. They are the best dogs in the whole world! The thing is they are HUGE! Emery is 13 lbs, and Alexx is makin his way up there! I just don't get it...everywhere we go people have these tinsy tiny little Yorkies that are the size of Emery and Alexx's heads!

I mean I love them the way they are but Alexx we were told was supposed to grow to be 5 lbs, Emy was supposed to be 8. They have long exceeded that. Emery is probably alittle overweight but not alot. He has a very slow metabolism. I realize its a product of breeding, but is this a commen thing? They are registered with the AKC. I've never seen another breed of dog like the Yorkshire terrier where they all look different. I have a webshots thing that you guys can go to, ther are pictures of them on there. They are absolute sweethearts though, no matter how big they are! Let me know what you guys think! Thanks! Ill try to put more recent ones on there.
