I dont' over dress my dogs (lex uses a harness vest if I am dressing him up). Lex is 9 1/2 lbs and he does get cold at times if the weather is very nippy. If it's really cold outside I do put on a coat on him because he gets cold...remember now matter how big they will get they are only single coat dogs. They dont' have the two layers of hair like a lot of breeds so they do get cold. So far NY has been good for the winter. Only two or so days I have had to put on his coat for him to go outside.
