I have tried all sorts of tooth brushes. (short handle / long handle / finger brushes) but to no avail. She has no problem with the toothpaste, and is happy to lick it off the brush, but heaven forbid I should try to start brushing. Will it help at all even if I just put the paste on my finger, and rub it on her teeth? |
She might have caps on her back molars......at times this happens. I usually can pop them off myself. Might want to have the vet check her, just to make sure.
There are rubber finger tooth brushes that you can purchase at Pet Smart, but I'm sure you've already tried....yorkies are such lil toots when you're dealing with their mouths and feet. You might try a strip of gauze.
