It is horrible that a breeder or anyone would let a dog go untreated for any health problems-even fleas. I agree that when someone has God Bless or anything about God I think something is up. Your information about the dog & no holes in the story speaks for its self, no need to drag God into the sale. I'm definately not anti-God, you just get a bad feeling when some people use him. I'm really sorry that this has happened, but I'm glad he found you, it sounds like you can afford him. I bought what was suppose to be a yorkie a year & a half ago, drove over 4 hours one way to get a dog that was severely under weight, had mange & coccidiosis, had a very scared temperment at 5 months old 1.5lbs. She gained a pound in 2 weeks. It was hard work keeping her seperated from the other dogs, spending the time with her to mend her. Luckily when she got better the other fosters I had at the time taught her that people were pretty cool & she already loved all other animals. I adopted her out over a year later at a huge loss. But it didbt matter because her new family adores her. I do not think highly of the lady that sold her to me & would not release her papers because I would not spay her in 30days because she was to small & unhealthy. I called the dog warden & they said they new she had way to many dogs but they have tried & cant do anything for the lack of ohio laws to pprotect animals-pretty much a kennel license lets you get away with anything. And I acyually called the Health Department because it was horrible w/feces & urine everywhere-she wouldnt let us come in the house. I heard small children. The health dept said they couldnt understand why I would think they would have anything to do with it. I said because the children & animals are living in horrible conditions. I couldnt bring myself to call children services because I feel unless the child is being molested or beaten putting them in the system is worse. The worse place to hit a breeder is by turning your case & what you saw into AKC they have a place on there site to do that. If they refuse a investigation they lose the right to register so that decreases they income alot, which will probably mean they will just get more dogs to compensate, because to alot of them thats all it about. Not really saying that about anyone discussed here because I dont know the entire situation. Or if the person has a actually business turn them into the BBB. Anyways I'm glad you have the dog & he's safe & being taken care of. The times things like this happens to me I figure helping a loving a animal or person in need covers some of the mistakes I make & maybe God wont give up on me
