Bad Teeth We just took Kal-el, our toy yorkie (2.5 lbs), to the vet and the vet said that our yorkie has really bad tooth decay. We would like to have his teeth cleaned professionally but he has health issues (deaf, hypoglycemic, neurologic problems) and we are scared to have him put under anesthesia for the procedure. The vet stated that we really need to do something or he will have to have teeth pulled in the future. Kal-el was abandoned and his previous owners didn't take care of him the way they should have. Kal-el wont let us brush his teeth without a fight but we really need to start doing it. Does any one have any suggestions? I have found some products on the internet that claim to reduce plague/tartar on dogs teeth (PetzLife Products Oral Care, Dental Care Tooth Gel, Triple Pet Plaque Off), has anyone tried any of these? Do they work?
