Are you worried that is too big? Loki is a tall and skinny 11lbs, not compact like Yorkies are supposed to be, and he still fits in a carrier. I have the New York Dog Hobo carrier and Loki fits with room to spare. He gets heavy after 20 mins or so, so the carrier is for quick stealth trips in places he's probably not supposed to be - no restaurants though, we follow the rules there. Otherwise I just let him walk and pick him up if necessary. Holding him in my arms is more comfy than the bag, but then the trip takes twice as long because 15 people have to cuddle him. And if he walks, he starts doing tricks to impress the people so again it takes forever...

I did have a hard time finding a larger carrier that wasn't super wide. Generally the large size carriers look like suitcases, which isn't what I needed. But I found one!
