I cannot even begin to tell all my YT family how very much I appreciate you all for all your thoughts and prayers!! The only thing I can really do right now is cry tears of thankfulness!!
It's the most amazing thing that only God could have orchestrated! We have pretty much figured out what happened. The UPS truck came down the street and scared Jack which caused him to jerk his head out of his collar. He ran like a maniac with Amanda running after him .... down the street, up the road, down the hill, across a very busy highway and into the woods on the other side. He evidently stopped and realized he didn't know where he was and tried to go back home. He was almost hit by a truck in the middle of the highway when he tried to cross back over and just cowered in the median. The nurse, Vicky, saw it and stopped, opened her car door and said "hey, buddy, are you lost?" Jack, people lover that he is, ran and lept into her lap and kissed her all over her face!

She told him to get in the passenger seat and she would try to find his family. She drove around trying to find where he might live with no luck so she took him home with her. She said he was soooo scared! That's where he's been since last Thursday! Her kids adore him and her little boy spent hours playing ball and just being a happy little Westie ... until it got dark and she said then he would get really sad and she could tell he was really missing someone. She had been trying to find his owner with no results.
The amazing thing is that Vicky's family and I have been friends for over 30 years! Her two older brothers practically grew up at my house and call me Mom to this day! OMG .... I couldn't believe it ... talk about God working in mysterious ways!!
Amanda just called and is back home with him .... I spoke with him and told him not to ever scare us like that again!

So ... Amanda and Jack are getting ready for bed and she said she can finally sleep with her little snugglebunny and I feel certain that Jack will sleep good too! I'm certain that his Nonnie, way up in Colorado, will sleep better than both of them!!
Again, thank you all so much! I don't think I could have held onto my sanity during this horrible time without all your prayers and support! You're the best.
