I don't know what occupation you are in but occupation related associations are a good place to look for group dental plans. In my experience, most of these individual plans don't do much better than dental discount programs. I have one that I use for supplemental and it does not pay much unless you have major work done like a crown, that is when you get your money's worth. If your teeth are in good shape and you don't anticipate much restorative work beyond fillings, I would suggest pricing out a dental discount plan. Good individual dental insurance is hard to find unless you are part of a group like with an employer's plan. I work in the insurance industry and have had lots of experience looking for plans when I was self-employed. You can PM me if you have questions.
