That is what we thought too. I take my grandmother on her weekly errands and, of course, Wal-Mart is ALWAYS one of our stops. She has been getting some cute bird material there. Anyway, it was before Christmas and we got some stuff and asked the salesperson about all Wal-Mart stores doing away w/ their craft dept. She told us it was mainly on the fabrics, but the crafts would be thinned down too.

Then, not long after Christmas we went and the fabrics were marked down, but there was no more bird fabric. My grandmother went this past Monday w/ my aunt and she said that they had already gotten rid of all of their fabric - so it didn't take them long at all.

OH no . . .I hope not. I was just there last Friday and they still have TONS of fabrics . . . I better stock up on materials that I always get from there
We don't have a Joann's superstore but I know Seattle does . . I went there once and it was HUGE.

Check if you have a quilt store. I know we do but they never go on SALE and their fabrics are outrageously pricey but gosh the selection si pretty awesome
