Most Important: be sure they have water at all times.

A one year old should easily be able to go through the night without going potty. I trained my pups on a pee pee pad, and sorta like a child - soon they never used it. It is very inexpensive when they stay dry . I stopped putting them (pee pee pads) down eventually. When Zowie was pregnant, she began having occasional accidents. I think I had two pads left and put one in the cage. When she had her babies, she used the pads for the first week, now she is mainly going outside again, but I have given her an entire room for her and the babies, and I have a pad in there because I am feeding her so much and not taking her out as much. Just easier for me. I have hard tile, and if she goes on the floor, it runs through the grout like a river, ick!
