People always want quick solutions or quick fixes. That is why Jenny Craig, Atkins, South Beach Diet, etc. makes so much money each year. George Foreman makes a ton of money from his lean mean grilling machines. 24 Hour Fitness and Bally's spend a lot of advertising around the Holidays because they make $$$$$ after the New Years and near summer.

I do agree w/ you. Although I would love to lose weight fast, I've been trying to get in my 6 meals a day and have a ratio of about 40/40/20 for my protein, carbs, and fats. Where in Socal are you? I'm hoping to lose about 12% bf. I hope you don't mind if you get a PM from me every now and then asking a dieting question .
