I had my cat for 16 years and the last 6 years she was diabetic. She was on a special food and I watched what she ate. I also was very careful to make sure she ate before her insulin shot and tried to give her the shots the same time each day. She was on pzi twice a day, I just lost her on New Years day. I think it is important to get them on a schedule and go with your gut feeling. Sometimes it does feel a little overwhelming but stick with him they are so worth it.
