Your exactly right with this one. I have 2 daughters 27 & 19 and 2 sons 24 & 17 and they don't hesitate to tell me to get out of the mom jeans and dress stylish. I am 47 and usually a size 4-6 (depends on the time of year-holidays kill me) and only 5' 2". It's really tough to find things that are age appropriate and still will pass my kids check list. I find that the petite dept works well for me because I have short arms. I will have to agree with my kids that a jean that comes just below the belly button is alot more flattering and a straight leg. Especially when you have short legs like mine.
