I am sooo proud of you girls!! Go You!! I had to drop weight quick to get approved for my breast reduction and I chose the low/no carb diet as well. Only I thought at the time that I was suppose to eat less than 10 carbs a day!! I stuck to it for almost 3 weeks and felt fantastic......most people say that this diet either makes you feel extremely great and energetic or extremely tired. I also invested in some Ketone strips....checks to see if my body is in ketosis. I looked forward to getting up every morning and peeing on that strip to see if it was purple!!! If it was, then it meant that I had rid my body of sugar and the fat was now being eaten away! That was a big reward for me. I ate scrambled eggs, cheeses, salads, ranch, pepperoni, pickles, broccoli, taco salads, steak, chicken...my most fav. was hamburger patties with lemon pepper dipped in mayo and mustard sauce!! Yummy. I ended up losing 18 pound in 3 weeks.....I did not weigh myself in those 3 weeks because I didn't want to get discouraged.
My mom was on the diet for almost a year.....she would stay faithful during the week and then allow herself to cheat on Sat. and Sun. She lost around 40lb.......she has kept it off for over 2 years now.
