Yes you can bet the same effect by using the comb attachments. I would suggest you purchase a tape AKC.org on trimming down a yorkie

What do you mean the face? Do you mean for obtaining the round puppy look? I use curved and straight and thinning shears.....

I'm going to recommend to you, what was recommended to me when I went to grooming school....don't pay a lot of money for your scissors until you become proficient in their use.....too much dropping and ruining them....
