Also, since we are still on training, how do you teach a small yorkie to like her lead.

My yorkie hates to be restrained. She will not move at all when she is put on a leash. She is the biggest bulker. I wonder if it is typical of smaller yorkies that are primarily carried around and not walked. How do you tackle it?
what you can try is rewarding her for a couple of days whenever she lays down. when you she her first lay down, say 'lay down' or 'down' whatever your command will be, and give her a treat, then say good girl. she'll catch on that every time she's laying down she gets a treat. next, when you have her attention and your doing some training work show her the treat and give her the command. then wait. if she lays down immediately then great. she probably won't tho. wait till she lays down then immediately treat her and use your praise word. with morgan i played the waiting game. i would give her a command and then wait for her to figure it out after i've 'prep'd' her for a few days.

with the leash problem: does your yorkie wear a harness or collar? i never had a problem with morgan and the harness/leash but i did have a problem when i hooked the leash to her collar. she bucked all over teh place and didn't have a clue why mommy was trying to lead her around by her neck LOL ( i usually don't use the collar. i just wanted her to get use to it for emergency purposes).
try putting the harness and leash of her and letting her drag it around all day under supervision (you don't want her getting caught on anything when your not looking). if she plays dead with teh leash on then try to get her to do something she likes like fetch or tug of war, or just walk around to different parts of the house calling her and treating her when she gets to you.
