I was going to ask you all to guess my age but I rather not What if you guys guess much older than what I really am |
Well, you are not as old as I am. I will be sixty next month. I feel very young at heart but dress my age. When I was younger, I was too heavy to wear stylish clothes but the past few years I have been normal weight. i find I still go back to the dress suits and dark colors (when dressing up) if I'm not careful. I have tried to incorporate color and younger looking clothes into my wardrobe. I do not shop Jr..s or low riders or anything like that. BUT, I dig thru the misses dept and avoid the old lady clothes. I have found I can find a lot of clothes that are stylish and decent looking for my age. I have a terrible time finding jeans because almost all are the low riders. But recently found some Gloria Vanderbilt jeans that are butt hugging and lifting with a reg. waist and I love them. To me, there is nothing uglier than a woman, say forty or older or even thirty five and older trying to look like a teeny bopper. Sometimes it's simply that they don't know how to dress. I am surprised that so many of us really don't know how to dress stylish, yet age appropiate. A good idea is for you to goto a store that has people to help you and have them pick out some stuff for you. Kind of like the tv show, What Not to Wear. You don't have to buy but you will get some good ideas.
