I never ever used a collar. Always a harness, home made one, I would put it on Baby Blessing and then put her down and holding the top with my arm straight out so she could walk out to the side of me, we would walk and walk in the house she loved it, also she learnt so many things in doing this at the same time like sit, stay, etc. When I was sitting I would also put it on her and keep her near me with it, when I take her out and am carrrying her I always have her harness and leash on as well. We love the clicker training. What age is your yorkie? Patti
