If he hasn't been neutered yet you can get it done at the same time. He will be a little sore but should recover quickly. Dew claws are such a pain to deal with but it is not too big of a deal to have them removed even at a later age. Yes it will be bandaged and you should still discourage any licking or chewing where the incision is.
