I don't like doing the girls nails either...I tried filing and also an electric dremel...the kind they use at the nail salons...they wouldn't even let me near them with it....I do clip them...I put water in the sink when giving them a bath ...just over the feet...I let them soak while I wash and condition them...now they are softer and don't make such a load snap...don't get me wrong...they still don't like it but it's a little easier on them and me!
My Mom was telling me the other day (don't know where she read this) that they are coming out with a new type of nail clipper...it lights up to show you where the quick is...I think like red would be the quick, yellow...still a little too close and when it turns green that is where you can cut safely...I will be buying one of these when they come out...I'm sure they will be worth the money as I don't let anyone do any kind of grooming on the girls..I do it all myself.
