Izzy does the same thing! It's kind of funny too. He will start eating and if I move to another room he will follow me. So I will escort him back to the food dish then stand there next to him. I know it seems like Im hovering but it works! Plus he doesnt care, he likes being stuck to me anyway!
Or like Jeanie K said, put a few pieces on the floor by the dish. Ive done that quite a few times. Usually when I do that he will end up eating everything. Their attention span is short, you just have to get them back on track sometimes!
