We have a 4 1/2 month old female. She rarely has accidents in the house at this point. It does happen occasionally, but not near the frequecy as previously.

How we did it:
Our pup (Bonita) has no unmonoitored access in the house. If she is inside, she is either with someone or inside her crate. When she is outside of the crate she goes out every 90 minutes or so. When she was younger, it was every 30-45 minutes and we have gradually lengthend the time. When we are out and she goes, she gets praise and then we promptly go back inside. This is to indicate to her that if she wants to go back inside, she must first go pottie. We also take her to the exact same location in the yard to go. We only take her to this area of the yard when it is time to pottie.

This has worked for us...may not work for everyone, but good luck with it.
