My yorkie, Wicket, is doing better each day housetraining, but a lot of times I'll stand with him outside and he won't go for like 20 mins, then right when he gets in he'll wander off and go on the kitchen floor. I think it may have something to do with it being really cold outside and maybe he hasn't made the connection yet that the sooner he goes potty the sooner we can go in. Any ideas? Also, I'm not sure whether to give him a treat when we get inside after praising him a lot or if I should just praise him. Any suggestions? Thankies!
