Yes the litty litter can make him sick! And if it's clumping litter, it can be worse. My poodle used to do that when we had a cat. The poo - well, they just love that stuff!!!
The vet told me to put it somewhere where the dog couldn't get it. I put it in the bathtub because Indy was too small to jump into the tub.
