My new yorkie, Brissy, is hacking or dry wreching while she sleeps. She will be sleeping away and all of a sudden she wakes up to hack and then goes back to sleep. She does not do this while she is playing or any other time. She was checked by two vets and deemed healthy. Her parents do not have tracheal collapse nor do any of the other puppies. Her father was DNA checked for problems. She received her first shots over a week ago. She is otherwise perfect. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I work 12 hour shifts (my husband is at home with her) and I cannot take her to the vet until Thursday unless it's an emergency. Help 'cause I'm freaked!!!
