Hubby loves them just as much, well, almost as much as I do. He likes to put on a big front, but underneath that tough surface he's just an old softy. Of course, there are times he'd like to get rid of them all, but that's only when they've done something they weren't supposed to do. I think if it came down to brass tacks, he'd fight tooth and nail to keep each and every one of them. We've had our ups and downs and on Dec. 12th we will have 42 years together. Hard to believe!!!! We even survived virtual remolding. We spent our 35th anniversary in the basement cementing a wall together. I guess you might say we have a very solid foundation in more ways than one! Every year we joke and say we're not sure it's going to work so we'll give it one more year! hehe That's worked so far and if ain't broke, don't fix it.

Every night when he gets ready to go to bed, he sits up in his chair and before he can say anything, Roxie's ears pop up and she's waiting for him at the steps. One evening he got up to go to the bathroom and mouthed that he was going to bed....early because he wasn't feeling well. Roxie was snuggled next to me and didn't pay an attention to him because it was "not time." He stood there for a minute and then said he was going to bed. She flew off the couch like a rocket. They do make us laugh a lot.
