I have the same problem with Rebel. He has LOTS of fur and I've been finding mats on his belly and hind legs
I bathed him Saturday and used a really good conditioner and still couldn't get the mats out. I ended up having to cut a few of them out. I bought ice on ice and tried it, but the mats were sooooo bad I couldn't get them out.
