OMG WTF! I know this sounds bad, but I'm so glad I had no extra money to donate.
I thought it was kinda odd how she kept posting about "if anyone wants to help with the bills...etc" but didn't think it was a scam. I wonder how much she got out of this? This is terrible. Now we know why theres the no asking for donations rule on here. You can't trust everyone.
How did you find out it was a scam?
For those of you who did donate, look at it this way: Atleast you know you have it in you to donate to a sick puppy that you believed needed your help, you are SO much better then some low life scum who would take advantage of that, and even if no one does get their money back, Karma does exist (I have proof!) and it will come around when she leasts expects it. If you did donate, kudo's too you for having it in you!
