Mojo has never had fleas, but I know ticks are still out - it just hasn't been cold enough to kill them off yet. My vet recommended using flea/tick preventive year round.---BUT we live out in the country (surrounded by natural forest on three sides w/ lots of wildlife), so I think it is best for all of our dogs.
