I just had Charlie's rabies shot done... not by consent either... the vet did it when he did his last round of puppy shots and his neuter. In my county you have to have the rabies shot BY six months.
I was really weary about him getting it this early, but he didn't have any reaction to it. So I'm thankful.
Some members on this site have had really negative experiences with their pup's rabies shots so you're going to hear a lot of "it was fine, and oh my gosh don't do it"
You and your vet have to decide what's right for your dog.
Personally, if you're not "out" and around other dogs, there's no harm waiting until 6 months if you're county, city allows it.
