I understand that but I'm a single father and there are times when he has to stay at home alone for 8 - 10 hours (not often), usually he's home alone about 6-8 hours while I'm at work.

I supose I could re-do his potty training and train him to go outside. I know it can be done, it's just way too convienent for him to use the pad inside...
