Yorkie Rose -- If the hair is very, very thick, but shiny as can be, do you think it will get silky? I have 2 yorkies with completely different puppy coats. Ben's was thin and already coming in silky (5 mon.) with the a little downy stuff still being combed out. Sadie's is very thick, but very shiny -- reflects light well. She also has a little wave to some parts of her hair -- she is only 12 weeks old and has that unkempt look even right after brushing. Her parents both had silky, straight coats.

My son asked me one day if these two were really the same kind of dogs. I had to laugh because they are very different (small male with shorter legs and bigger ears, and a larger female with longer legs and small ears) but I think they will compliment each other well. It is like a mystery, waiting to see how they will look as adults. I don't think there are many dogs that change so drastically. I love Yorkies!
