There are only 3 types for dogs. The regular, the plus (contains glucosamine for added joint support) and the plus vet strength

The avian and feline are for birds and cats only

Anyhow, I have been giving my yorkie boy missing link plus since he was 12 weeks. I mix it with cottage cheese and it's a treat for him

I feed the poodle the vet strength plus because she has arthritis in her hind legs.

I think that the regular missing link would be perfect for her. I would start her off with a 1/4 teaspoon the first few days and then gradually increase to 1/2 teaspoon and if you want........you may give her the full teaspoon

I give my boy a whole teaspoon with a teaspoon cottage cheese each day
