I was concerned when my cocker was over 10 months old and hadn't had her first heat. I took her to get spayed and told them my concern and they told me that a lot of smaller breeds have a "silent heat" where you don't even know they are in heat and males don't really respond. Maybe this is what happened with your baby. Are you going to get her spayed?
