Hello All.
It has been a very teary-dreary- day!! Melot was taken to our regular vet and he said that the injury was worse than a fracture, it was shattered as well
!! He said Melot needed an Orthopedic surgeon and quickly called for an appointment. When he returned he said we could go (about 45min drive) and the price would be near $3800. They also wanted payment today. I almost had a crying FIT!!! I dont have that kind of money just sitting around. So he explained other options, that he could do for a smaller amount (screws and stuff) but I needed to do something, so Melot wouldnt be in pain over the weekend.
Needless to say I opted for the less expensive screws praying that because he is so young that he will fully recoup. My now ex-boyfriend was the one that "stepped" on him, but I am not speaking with him to even allow further explanation. And as far as him helping pay...I can truly forget that...
So...The vet says that Melot will be in a cast for 10 weeks
and we will have to pray that everything went well.
