Not all tinies are unhealthy but the percentage of healthy ones under 4 lbs is smaller compared to over 4lbs. That's not including accidents such as falling or getting stepped on. A friend of mine lost her tiny when her husband stepped on him and he died instantly. That wouldn't happen with a bigger dog.
It may make you angry but it's the truth. The people who are warning of the dangers of tinies are doing it so the buyer can go in with their eyes wide open since so many of us have heard the horrors afterwards. |
I can name one bigger yorkie who died of hypoglycemia, My good friend lost her 9 lbs yorkie to a hypoglecimic attack. He never had one before and she was away at work and came home and found her 2 year old 9 lb dog dead.
The necropsey showed low blood sugar as the cause.
It's not a tiny yorkie problem it can affect all yorkies.
