Are you sure it was the same puppy? Not trying to make it out like you had a bad breeder but it is so incredibly hard to find good breeders these days and they can be very sly. When I was looking for a pup one lady showed me a puppy that was "5 weeks old" and I knew it wasn't. It was very tiny, and still had its dew claws!! She wanted me to believe it was older and then she was going so sell me one of her older larger pups and pass it off as the same pup I saw. Maybe this was what happened in your case? I'm not a breeder but have done a lot of research on the yorkshire terrier breed and it just seems odd to me unless they were starving the pup that it would wigh 6 ounces at 5 weeks and 4 weeks later it would gain 28 ounces, that's almost unheard of.
