You can introduce him to adult food. I'm not sure how much you need to give him but most foods have a chart on the side of the bag with the amount of food to feed your baby and how many times per day. Right now I free feed mine and will do the same thing once they turn one because they are always to busy playing that they will not eat all of their food at once. They also share a bowl of food so I never know who eats what.
