I guess one that I never really thought of when I first got my pup but heard on here several times is don't take your pup out or around other dogs until they get all their shots. It puts them at risk of catching something they have not yet been vaccinated for. It makes a lot of sense but when you get your little baby the first thing you want to do is show them off and so many people take them directly to pet stores. So this one may be a good one for new puppy owners.
