My chihuahua had a soft spot as a puppy and it never closed..hes now 2 years old and its still open..it doesn't bother him or us and if you don't touch it wouldn't even know its there. When you pet his head it doesn't bother him either he doesn't seem to be in any discomfort if we touch it.
