That reminds me of my first kitty. I got married at 20, my first day back at work my husband called to say something was wrong with the kitten. He thought she might have broken her leg. I got home and the little leg was horribly crooked, I rushed her to the vet and they set it and put a splint on longer than her tiny body. (Turned out he might have slammed the door on her) But she was the princess after that, he carried her gently to her food, litter box, soon she could climb curtains with that leg swinging back and forth - all the way to the top. it was so cute.
Another lesson learned, never let tiny kittens climb your curtains. They get big, the tiny holes their claws put in curtains do too.
He also called me at work one day to say my parakeet was sleeping on the floor of his cage - but that's another story.
