I had the same feeling about the clicker training before attending the class. I think clicker training is a good way to teach a puppy. Click=good dog; but since the sound is very consistent your puppy will understand better. My pup was very afraid of the clicker before the class but she is now love the clicker training. She can sit, laydown, stay, roll, fetch, come and leave it after I introduce her to the clicker. All these happen in less than 3 weeks. The clicker is just a tool for you to communicate and praise your pup. She even notice that if I walk with the clicker she start waiting for commands. Off course you will still be able to give a command without the clicker. You will enjoy it.
