We had a similar bad experience with bad vets (lost one dog, almost lost another). You can search out our stories if you like. It definitely pays to go with your gut and get a second opinion. You saved Pia's life!
Anyway, I do keep Nutristat on hand, just in case the girls get ill or something, but Luna won't touch it now, she'd been force fed so much of it that I guess the smell makes her sick.
